We investigated the techno-economic analysis of two integrated torrefaction and pelletization systems: (1) Torrefaction befOre Pelletization (2) After configurations to produce torrefied wood pellets. The detailed mass energy balances operating parameters were obtained from process simulation model developed with base case plant capacity 100,000 Mg yr?1 using natural gas as an auxiliary fuel source. A discounted cash flow was conducted for both estimate capital expenditure, expenses, production cost, minimum selling price pellets at gate $207 Mg?1 ($8.5 GJ?1) before $197 ($8.1 configurations.
